Xcape to the Sun - Properties around the world

The fifth largest country in the world and covering almost half of the South American Continent, Brazil has some of the most stunning scenery in the world, along with the most beautiful beaches on earth.  Exotic, vibrant and with a hint of mystery, Brazil has, for years remained largely untouched by major tourism, until now.

Massive investment has been sunk into the northeast of the country, particularly in the state of Grande do Norte and also in neighbouring Píauí.

The capital of the state, Natal has been a favourite holiday destination for the Brazilians for decades, but latterly has attracted the more international holiday marker as well, in a big way. For example,147, 000 foreign holiday makers visited in 2002 and then just three years later that shot up by a massive 134% to 344, 000.

The weather is temperate, with an annual temperature of 27º. And with over 400 kilometres of fantastic sandy beaches, all fringed with gently waving coconut palms, this particular area is now becoming very well known around the world.

In total contrast, Natal, known as The City of sun, is well known for its lively atmosphere, shiny new shopping malls, sophisticated restaurants, and all the latest sport and leisure attractions.

However, the overseas property market is still a fairly new concept. And with much cheaper construction available, as much as four times cheaper than in Southern Europe, NOW really is the time to buy!

Over the next five years, almost 2 billion dollars is about to injected, along this coastline, to finance ‘high priority sustainable property developments’. State of the art resorts, quality hotels and ten new golf courses, are due to be built.

Transport and the road networks will also be improved. A new road bridge, in construction now, will link Natal to the stunning, newly constructed beachfront. A new airport is due to open in the summer of  2009. It will be the eighth largest in the world and the biggest in South America. All this will confirm Natal as the holiday destination of Brazil and put it on the worldwide map as one of the finest overseas destinations to visit.
Well served by many European airports Thomson is now operating a weekly service. The flying time is a little over 9 hours.

Easy to reach, stunning beaches and fabulous weather, all promise the buy to let investor a very good return.

Although, with the cost of living at 20% lower than the UK, you might just be tempted to stay!
